It’s summer time and that means getting outside, getting a little messy and having a whole lot of fun! A super fun and easy activity is water bomb art. It’s a great sensory activity, plus a gross motor and coordination challenge that your kids will love! We did ours as a baseball themed event that the kids nicknamed ~ PAINT BALL!

You will need a few items:
Empty containers (one for each colour)
In the containers mix approximately two tablespoons of paint with half a cup of water. Stir until it is well blended.
Outside hang your card stock. I used some clips to secure the paper. If you don’t have somewhere to hang it, you could prop it up against something or even put it on the ground. Make sure it’s somewhere you don’t mind getting a little messy. As long as you are using washable paint it should all clean up easy, but make sure any valuables are out of splatter range.
Plunk a water bomb into each colour, then let the kids fire away!
My boys loved doing this! It was slimy and they ended up with paint dripping. The giggles were constant!
I highly recommend wearing grubbies for this. Even though you should be using paint that is washable, it never seems to wash out of the good clothes. Why is that?
I also challenged the boys to throw with alternating hands. To stand closer, then farther away. They had so much fun playing “paint ball”!
And in the end we had some beautiful art made on a summer day along with some wonderful memories.
