A soft and delicious bread recipe to make with the kids at home
Add 1.5 tbsp of yeast to 1/2 tbsp sugar. Then mix in 1/2 cup of warm water. Mix in a 2 cup measuring cup. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Into a large bowl add 5 cups of flour (regular flour is what we use), 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 tbsp salt. Stir together.
Into the large bowl, pour in the bloomed yeast, 1.5 cups of warm water and 1/4 cup of oil.
Mix everything together then turn it out onto a floured surface and start kneading.
Use a bit of oil and grease the inside of the large mixing bowl, then place the kneaded dough back into the bowl and cover it with a towel. Let sit for one hour.
After one hour punch it and do another quick knead. Then divide it up into greased loaf pans.
Cover with a towel and let it rise once more for 1 more hour.
After an hour pour a little melted butter on top of the dough and place it in the oven at 375° for and bake for 20 to 30 minutes. Until the tops are nicely brown.
