Spooky and delicious and so much fun. These Monster Eye Truffles will be a huge hit!
Grate the white chocolate, set aside.
In a small saucepan bring the cream to a simmer over medium/high heat.
Add the butter and continue heating until it melts, stirring the whole time.
Add the grated chocolate and stir until melted and smooth.
Take the saucepan off the heat and stir in flavoring if needed and orange food color.
Pour into a shallow bowl and refrigerate for at least two hours until firm.
Using a melon baller scoop out eyeball shapes from the truffle mixture.
Push a candy eye into the top of each truffle.
Refrigerate in an airtight container or eat! If you want to really firm up the truffles, store them in the freezer.
