I was so excited when the creators of the new Retro Pop Box approached me to see if I would be interested in checking out a sneak peek of their new subscription service. As a girl of the 70’s and 80’s who is now a mother and always thinking back on how things used to be when I was younger, this was a no brainer… YES! I love a little flash from the past! Well my exclusive first look box arrived. Here is my Retro Pop Box unboxing.
Disclaimer: I was given this box free for review purposes
First, I am AMAZED at how much they fit into such a tiny box. If this is any indication of what is to come from this subscription box service I think people will be very happy with all the goodies they get each month.
When you set up your subscription you can pick a decade – 60’s, 70’s or 80’s. For this sneak peek sample box I got two items from each decade as a little taste of what they will be offering.
First up the 1960’s is represented by a yo-yo and some cool retro Marvel comics superhero buttons. I played with many a yo-yo in my days, but always seemed to end up tangled up! I think my boys will have a great time mastering this flash from my past. And superheros are always a hit around here!
Next up the 70’s. This is the decade I was born in, so I feel a little nostalgia for this time. In the box it was represented by an Evel Knievel t-shirt and scratch and sniff stickers. I haven’t seen scratch and sniff stickers in ages. They are corn scented, which is weird, mine were always strawberries and stuff, but it’s still a really cool item.
The t-shirt is amazing though. I’m really impressed with the quality. It is so soft. Probably the best quality shirt I’ve ever received in a subscription box. I got it in a men’s size for my hubby, but I might be stealing it as a PJ shirt. It’s so comfy!
Finally, the decade that resonates the most with me, the 1980’s. This is the decade that brings out the most nostalgia for me. In this pack it is represented by Tetris magnets and Star Wars Pez dispenser. I used to love Pez! And played many hours of Tetris, so these are pretty cool.
I’m really impressed with the Retro Pop Box. It’s so much fun! I’m already thinking of a few people that might enjoy a little nostalgia and flash from their past as a gift this Christmas or for a birthday present. Retro Pop Box is offering my readers a special discount code so you can be one of the first to check them out. Enter UNBOX1 to get 10% off your subscription!
