Crack Recipe – A nut-free chocolate toffee treat – so delicious!

On a recent trip out to the lake we met up with some friends who introduced me to the most amazing, delicious, seriously addictive treat I have had in a long time. It tasted like a Skor bar but was nut-free. She called it CRACK!
I begged her for her crack recipe and here it is. Please forgive me, this stuff is impossible to resist!

Crack - The totally addictive and delicious chocolate toffee treat! When I got home I had to email her and get the recipe. It took me a few weeks but I finally had time to make this amazing treat and boy it did not disappoint.

I know there are a few variations but this is the quick and easy crack recipe. Perfect for the busy mom!

Crack Recipe:

1 tbsp Coconut Oil
1 package graham crackers
1.5 cups brown sugar
1.5 cups salted butter
3 cups milk chocolate chips (semi sweet or dark could also be used based on your taste preferences)

Line a large cookie sheet with tinfoil. Then grease the tin foil with coconut oil. Line the sheet with the graham crackers. Break them if necessary to get the whole thing covered.

In a small pot add the butter and brown sugar. On medium-low heat start stirring. Once it becomes liquid change over a whisk. Keep stirring! It will burn easily. Once it starts to boil watch the clock as you keep stirring and let it boil for 5 minutes.

Crack - The totally addictive and delicious chocolate toffee treat!Once the 5 minutes are up pour the mixture over the graham crackers. Try and spread it out fairly evenly, but it will settle so don’t stress too much.

Crack - The totally addictive and delicious chocolate toffee treat!Place it in the oven for 10 minutes. It will bubble like crazy and start to brown up a bit.

Crack - The totally addictive and delicious chocolate toffee treat!Pull it out and sprinkle the top with the chocolate chips.

Crack - The totally addictive and delicious chocolate toffee treat!Let them sit for a minute until they start to melt, then spread them around with a spatula.

Crack - The totally addictive and delicious chocolate toffee treat!Once the cookie sheet is cool to the touch (about 10 minutes) put it in the fridge for an hour to completely cool and set.

Remove from the cookie sheet and place upside-down on a sheet of parchment paper. Then CRACK it with a knife into serving sized pieces. Store in an air tight container… if they last that long. This stuff is addictive and soooooo tasty!

Crack - The totally addictive and delicious chocolate toffee treat!I developed nut allergies quite late in life and I used to really enjoy Skor bars, having this nut-free version is so amazing. I brought a batch to a camp out and everyone was raving about them, even the kids. Enjoy!
