Our tree is not a normal tree, it’s a Geeky Tree! And we love our eclectic, fun and slightly crazy geeky tree. Turns out our tree is generating some questions and interest, so I thought I would share some of our fav geek Christmas ornaments.
OH GEEKY TREE! OH GEEKY TREE!

Yesterday I shared a post about a kid made crystal wreath ornament. The post has done well, but after reading a bunch of comments I realized the wreath was not the hot topic of conversation. Can you see what was generating all the conversation in this photo?
So I thought I would share more of the geeky goodness that is our Geeky Tree.
First up is the Doctor Who TARDIS String Lights. I have 4 strings on our tree and I LOVE them! They bring a warmth and light to the tree that is so perfect.
I also have a glass TARDIS ornament. It is very classy and has a special quality about the design that makes it feel as if it has traveled through great time and space.
Where there is a TARDIS there must be Daleks! We have yellow and red Daleks on our tree that are ready to exterminate any scrooges.
And of course the other great evil is Cyberman. We have one peering out, ready to recruit!
Now it isn’t all about Doctor Who around here. We are also BIG Firefly fans so we added a Serenity ornament that is stunning under the lights. And big! Serenity is not something to mess with, but of course we already knew that!
What tree and holiday is complete without a Cthulhu? When in doubt, add two!
Being a geek isn’t just about fiction stories and fandom, it’s also about things you are passionate about and as a rally racing family cars are a big deal. I’m still searching for a great Subaru rally car ornament, but for now we are rocking a few other cars. Including an all time fav car in our family, the Mustang.
I believe Christmas trees should be a celebration of love and passion. I don’t want my tree to be a sterile copy cat of every department store tree, I want it to have character. Our tree is filled with things we love and things lovingly made. My children help decorate it and with each year we celebrate how the bulk of the ornaments get a little higher on the tree. Our tree is not about perfection, it’s about us, and our love. I hope you are able to create a tree of love to celebrate your holiday season.
