DIY Poop Emoji Soap Making Project
The Poop Emoji. Can I be totally honest and say although I can see how silly and funny the poop emoji can be, but I don’t really get the obsession. I mean the Poop Emoji is EVERYWHERE. Kids absolutely love it. Which must be part of the whole potty humor obsession so many kids have. So what better way than to embrace the love of the Poop Emoji with a special Poop Emoji Soap Making project for the kids.

Why Poop Emoji?
I may not get the obsession, but I do see the light in their eyes and the crazy giggles when it comes to the poop emoji. So with the success of our Bat Poop soap we decided to create a Poop Emoji soap too.
This is a fantastic crafting project for kids that creates a sustainable, practical and usable item. Kids can make these soaps to be used in the classroom, to encourage hand washing at home and school, or as fun and silly kid made gifts.
I mean really, what grandparent wouldn’t love a kid made poop emoji soap under the tree this year from their beloved grandchild?
All About Our Poop Emoji Soap Project For Kids
This recipe makes 6 Poop Emoji Soaps. Once kids are old enough to safely use a microwave, they can do this project. You know your child best. In my experience this type of project is best for tweens and teens, or mature younger kids with responsible adult supervision.
It can also be done as a group project as part of a co-op or after school program.
Poop Emoji Soap Recipe & Supplies
1 1/2-pounds clear melt and pour soap
1 tablespoon jojoba oil
10-20 drops of essential oil (your choice of scent)
Brown mica powder
1 tablespoon brown cosmetic glitter
Poop soap mold
Spray bottle of rubbing alcohol
Medium sized microwave safe bowl or measuring cup
Spoon or whisk for mixing
NOTE: I have included links to both a cosmetic glitter and a biodegradeable cosmetic glitter. So you can make your own choice regarding glitter use. Of course, you can also leave out the glitter if you prefer.
Poop Emoji Soap Making Directions
Break your melt and pour soap into cubes. Add 24 cubes (each cube is approx. 1 ounce) of the soap base to a microwave safe bowl or measuring cup. Melt in 30 second intervals, stirring after each until it is completely melted.
Add 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil and your favourite essential oil to bowl.
Add brown mica powder and whisk ingredients until thoroughly incorporated.
Spray the bottom of the mold with rubbing alcohol. Sprinkle a bit of the glitter into the mold and allow alcohol to dry a few seconds. The glitter should stick to the sides of the mold.
Carefully pour the soap mixture into the mold. Spray the top of the soap to prevent bubbles from forming.
Allow the soap to harden and set in the mold for at least 2-4 hours. Make sure there are no ripples when you blow on it.
Once set, carefully “pop” the soaps from the mold. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
